Fees and Guarantee Refund Service

Applying via the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai website:
1. Log in to the smart services system using your (digital ID (UAEPASS) or username).
2. Search for the desired service.
3. Fill in the application details where applicable.
4. Pay the service fees (if applicable).

Application Rejection
- An application will be automatically rejected if the required information is not completed within (30) days of its return for completion, or if the application is returned (3) times due to incomplete information and missing documents.
- The reason for rejection is usually stated if the conditions are not met. However, if no reason is stated, the authority reserves the right not to disclose the reason.

Refund Policy
Only the issuance fees, health insurance fees, and financial guarantees paid, as shown on the payment receipt, can be refunded if the main application is rejected.

The refund procedure is as follows:

- Fees paid will be refunded via the credit card used for payment within a period not exceeding (180) days from the date of submission of the main application. Refunds may be issued via bank check or bank transfer (for banks located within the UAE only) if the refund conditions are met.

- If the date of the main application exceeds (180) days, the fees paid will be refunded via bank check or bank transfer – for banks located within the UAE only – and will be available for up to five years from the refund due date, to facilitate the refund process.

- If you choose the bank check refund method and after the refund request is approved, you can visit any branch of the service provider bank located within the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) centers of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, or Customs and Ports Security, to collect your refund check.

Procedures for Refund of Financial Guarantees

- Financial guarantees provided for approved visa or residency applications will be refunded upon cancellation of the issued visa or residency, upon its expiry, or if the service beneficiary becomes one of the exempt categories stipulated by the relevant legislation and laws.

- Financial guarantees will be enforced directly in the event of a violation of the laws regulating entry and residency in the country.
